BCHSA thrives with the active engagement of all of our members, and we’re particularly proud to involve our junior membership in organization activities through the BCHSA Junior Board.

The Junior Board was formed to cultivate an environment of good sportsmanship and horsemanship through active participation and educational outreach, and gives young members leadership opportunities within the organization. Each year, the members of the Junior Board: plan and execute multiple fundraiser events to support the Catie Carnes Scholarship, and develop educational programs for their fellow riders.

Junior Board members ages 12-17 will be required to participate in monthly meetings from March to November. These meetings may take place by phone, through video conference, or in person. Additionally, Junior Board members will be required to attend the BCHSA open meetings in order to voice the opinions of the junior membership which they serve.
